We have 3 positions available for you to help support the team in our new Pick, Cook & Serve project, funding by the BIG Lottery Fund.

Catering & Hospitality Tutor / Assessor (Full-time)

Your unique blend of catering experience and assessment of vocational achievement will help break down barriers and support small groups of young people into work in hotels and restaurants around Heathrow Airport.
With a breakdown of 70% frontline teaching, from a brand new teaching kitchen funded by the BIG Lottery, and 25% assessment and curriculum development, you will play a key role in growing our charitable impact and reach to the benefit of young people and local community groups.
Your innovative and entrepreneurial spirit will also be put to great use in helping directly employ some of young people through the creation of a new catering enterprise selling salads, soups and sandwiches to local businesses using some of our locally grown fruit, vegetables and herbs.

Kitchen Gardener (Part-time)

Your unique blend of enthusiasm and a qualification in basic horticulture will help support small groups of young people with additional needs into work in hotels and restaurants around Heathrow Airport.
You will be supported to carry out essential planting and growing tasks to ensure new plots are productive all year round to act as a food source for the new kitchen. Other tasks will include harvesting, pruning, weeding, planting, mulching, watering, deadheading, staking and tying-in. You will also be encouraged to contribute your ideas to create new growing plots and raised beds and to solve any problems that occur.
This post would suit a physically fit person looking to secure their first job in the horticulture sector and we would also welcome applications from people who have knowledge, or personal experience of, additional learning needs.

Youth Mentor (Part-time)

Your unique blend of enthusiasm and a qualification in counselling will help support small groups of young people with additional needs into work in hotels and restaurants around Heathrow Airport.
You will be responsible for achieving BIG Lottery Fund outcomes and reporting these quarterly back to the funder in a timely and orderly manner. You will also monitor progression of learners through Outcomes Stars and weekly 1-2-1 mentoring sessions to create Individual Action Plans (IAPs) in order to move on.
