Kew Gardens Trip - July 2021

Updated: Oct 24, 2022

Our learners had the pleasure of visiting Kew Gardens as part their Community Week looking at all the different types of trees, ordering their own food and talking to different members of the community.

Here's a report which one of our learners wrote about their trip:

"Yesterday Richmond class went on a trip to Kew Gardens where they went to the palm house and looked at all the different plants that Kew had there even though it was quite hot in there. Then Richmond class went inside the temperate house which was cooler in there and looked at the interesting tropical plants, then after that Richmond class settled down on the tables to eat their lunch that Theo provided for lunch. After Lunch Richmond class went over to the Japanese Garden where Holly very kindly showed them where it is, and they thoroughly enjoyed it there. After the Japanese Garden, Richmond Class were treated to ice creams by Tracey who very kindly paid for it on her card. Finally, Richmond class walked back to the minibus to head back to GC, and it was time to go home on the minibus back to Terminal 5 bus stop. Stuart’s favourite part about Kew Gardens was seeing all the lovely plants and flowers. Nisha’s favourite part was the palm house. Thank you for reading my report on the Kew Gardens trip."
