Update on our Support

Update on our Support

We are now taking bookings for provision over summer for young people with Special Needs.

The support we are offering can include one or a mix of Employability, Horticulture and Catering short courses taught by our qualified and passionate tutors, and every young person will receive an in house certificate for each of the subjects they complete. All the placements of young people will need to be funded by the local borough at the low cost of £50.00 per day.

Young people will be taken on a case by case basis and we will arrange a visit with our EHCP and Transitions manager prior to agreeing a placement with us to ensure we are able to and the best way to meet the needs of the young person.

Places are given on a first come – first serve basis so please do get in contact with us as soon as you can to ensure a place for your young person/people.

We are aware that some annual reviews have been delayed due to Covid-19 so transition choices may not have been made yet for young people. We are contacting you to let you know that we still have a few places available on our Horticulture courses for September 2020 (we may also have 1 place left on our Catering course) and that we are open and able to offers tours following social distancing or virtual tours on Zoom. We are currently providing education as normal for our young people due to our small group sizes and open plan spaces.

We have also just been awarded the prestigious “Leaders in Safeguarding” quality standard alongside our other quality marks such as DisabilityConfident Committed and London Youth Gold, so I do hope you will consider us both a value for money and high quality destination for any young people in your borough with an EHCP aged 16-25 wishing to learn life skills, vocational skills and catering and horticulture vocational skills with 80% onward employability.

For more about us and our work, please have a read through our prospectus in the link below. If you would like to find out more about how we can support the young people you know, contact us now.

Over 4,000 shops online retailers including Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS, Booking.com, eBay, Boden, and M&S, and when you make a purchase, sites will donate to us when you use Easyfundraising to shop with them – at no extra cost to yourself!

It would be amazing if you could sign up, it’s completely FREE and only takes a moment.

You can find our Easyfundraising page at:

We are also now on Amazon Smile which means you can donate to Green Corridor for FREE every time you buy something on Amazon!  We would really appreciate it if you would make us your chosen charity on Amazon to raise free funds to go towards getting much needed resources for our current learners and the new young people starting with us in September.

We are also looking for volunteers to donate their time to Green Corridor during these tough times to help us prepare for the large influx of learners who are enrolling onto our courses in September 2020!

Volunteering activities will involve being outside in the sunshine, working alongside our project manager doing hands on tasks. Examples of these could be painting classrooms, building fences, planting seeds and putting together picnic benches!

You don’t need any experience, we’ll show you the way and provide you with all the PPE you may need. We are inclusive of all and are able to make adjustments to make tasks easier and help you.

We have put measures in place to ensure our entire learning and development centre is safe, adhering to social distancing following government guidance and to ensure the safety of all our visitors, learners and staff. We have put a number of measures in place including; a one way system, a large amount of face masks available on hand, all visitors/learners/staff must have their temperature taken at reception, strict social distancing and higher frequency of cleaning of the facilities.

If you are able to volunteer and support our charity and cause, please get in touch today and we can talk you through any questions you may have. We’d love to have you!

New Teaching Space

New Teaching Space

We are so excited to say that we will be welcoming a large number of young people who are enrolling onto our courses in September 2020!  However, this means that we are having to make a few adjustments to our learning and development centre to ensure we can accommodate for all and make we are adhering to social distancing guidelines.

Over half term, we have started to create space for our new portacabin classrooms and outdoor seating areas.  We have also created a new rest space for all our visitors and learners.
