Registration is now open for our 2018 courses!

BTEC Level 1 Award ‘Basic Cooking Skills’: 6-week course, two days a week, 9.45 – 3.15

BTEC Level 1 Award ‘Basic Cookery and Hospitality’: 12-week course two days a week, 9.45 – 3.15

Now is the time to book your place on our new accredited BTEC courses! All courses are funded by the BIG Lottery and open to anyone between the ages of 16 and 25, not in full-time employment, education or training in the boroughs of Hounslow, Hillingdon and Ealing. Courses are run by our qualified experienced catering tutor and in small classes to give extra support and attention to those who need it. Courses are run 2 days per week for 6-12 weeks to suit all learners. Free pick up/drop off from Heathrow Terminal 5. Additional travel support is possible in some cases.

Throughout the courses we assist young people who may need that extra help in getting themselves work ready. We even provide 1-2-1 support and employment coaching. Our strong links with local employers around the airport allow for onward progression into vacancies such as: kitchen porter, prep-chef, commis-chef, barista, etc.

“I wish to comments and feed back from my observations on my client  who is currently doing the catering course. M was always a shy girl lacking in confidence.  Since she started the catering course with Green Corridor I can see a change in her.  The change is more of a confidence boost which I am grateful for.  M has a good chance of taking it further if she gets a her level 2 qualification.
Thanks again for your support and Marie is looking forward to re joining after xams holidays.”
Nadine Njangwa (Personal Adviser, Children & Young People’s Service, London Borough of Hillingdon)

“I have called P today and she is really enjoying Green corridor she sounded extremely happy. She says she will continue to attend and has even taken pictures of some of the food she has baked to show me. I would really like to thank you Joanne and Tracey for taking care of P.”
Once again a big thank you to all”

The training kitchen will also be available, free of charge, to community groups every Friday and Saturday, to experience “Pick, Cook and Serve” cooking sessions. Pick from our kitchen garden, learn a new recipe with our catering tutor, then sit and eat with friends old and new.
If you want to find out more about the courses or community days then contact Caroline on or 01753 687236.
