Learner Journey's

Rachel's Story

Rachel has progressed to Berkshire College of Agriculture, where she has started a Foundation Studies course to build her employability skills. At Green Corridor she completed work experience at Heathrow Special Needs Centre, helping care for farm animals by preparing feed, cleaning the grounds, and maintaining plants in the polytunnel. She also took part in road safety sessions to support her confidence and independence when travelling in the community.

Yahya's Story

During Yaha's time at Green Corridor, he completed work experience at St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, helping to maintain the garden areas. He also took part in road safety sessions to build his confidence in keeping safe in the community and joined social activities to broaden his friendship groups. Yahya has now moved on to Adult Social Care with Mencap, where he will take part in activities such as cleaning, shopping, and meal preparation.

Adam's Story 

Adam was at Green Corridor for a little over 2 years completing his qualification in practical Horticulture Skills.

Jamie's Story

Jamie was able to grow whilst at Green Corridor, he engaged very well to receive support from our Transitions Coordinator and our Careers Advisor to enable him to learn and take on more independent living skills.

Junaid's Story

Since starting Green Corridor on the RARPA course in the first year, Junaid has shown remarkable growth and development. Through consistent effort and engagement, he has already demonstrated improved communication, independence, and the ability to set and achieve personal targets.

Ethan's Story

Ethan has been studying the RARPA course and developing his social and employability skills, working on his goal to become a professional Spanish chef. This year he has begun in helping out in the kitchen to prepare the lunches for the students thus gaining lots of practice he needs!

Erin's Story 

Erin completed work experience at Dovetail Community Outreach, working in the kitchen and serving meals to the local community. She also gained office experience at Hayes Staff Recruitment, carrying out a range of admin tasks. Erin worked hard to become an independent traveller through 1-1 travel training. She has now moved on from Green Corridor to a supported internship at the Pavilions in Uxbridge.

Bailey's Story

Bailey has progressed to a supported internship at Hillingdon Hospital, where he will work across departments including portering, the mailroom, admin, and catering. At Green Corridor, he completed work experience at Dovetail Community Outreach, serving meals to the local community, and at Hayes Staff Recruitment. He also became a fully independent traveller, which is essential for his internship.
