Ruth

Chair of the Board

Ruth is a highly proficient senior executive with over 4 years’ experience operating on multiple boards within a complex, regulated and customer driven environment. Commercially competent with a proven track record of enhancing operational performance and leading transformational change that has delivered excellent and sustainable results. Her inspiring leadership style combined with her ability to adapt to all situations has enabled her to motivate and lead her teams to deliver outstanding business performance whilst maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.

Nigel

Vice Chair

Nigel has many years’ experience in marketing services, both in UK and internationally, working alongside numerous household names ranging from Anadin to Zanussi.

 

He was Managing Director of FCA Impact, which was named Agency of the Year; has contributed to two winning IPA Effectiveness papers; and was awarded the coveted Gold Award for Marketing Effectiveness.

 

As former Head of Operations at Education Development Trust, he has also provided operational guidance to many private schools, free schools and academies, as well as being a multiple school governor. He retired recently as Chair of National Family Mediation, the largest provider of family mediation in England and Wales, and has additional volunteer experience with Reach and Crisis.

Arnie

Safeguarding Lead

Arnie joined Green Corridor as a Trustee in 2012, bringing extensive senior level management experience in the voluntary sector having been Assistant Director of UK volunteering charity CSV (Community Service Volunteers). Among other responsibilities there he set up and led its unique volunteer management Consultancy division from 1999 to 2012. He is on the editorial board of an online international volunteerism journal; is Chair of governors at a secondary school and college for young people with additional needs in south London; and an Advisor with his local Citizen’s Advice. Arnie holds a Social Policy Masters in Civil Society, NGO’s and the Voluntary Sector from the University of Kent.

Gareth

Trustee

Gareth is a qualified Chartered Accountant. After training in the U.K he moving to Poland in early 1990s, spending a number of years with Ernst and Young where he worked on a variety of projects as well as being appointed as a Licensed Polish Auditor.  He subsequently moving into Investment Banking and possesses over 20 years Investment Banking experience across a range of roles and locations.  Since 2017 Gareth has been involved in a number of property development projects. He is thrilled to be able to serve as a trustee of Green Corridor.

Amanda

Trustee

Amanda joined the Board of Trustees in September 2021.   She is currently Heathrow’s Safety, Health and Wellbeing Director, having spent the last 25 years in risk management and global safety roles across retail, banking, healthcare, and aviation industries. 

Amanda grew up in Ealing and now lives in Surrey.  She has experienced first-hand the significant difference that support and education can make to young people with special educational needs and their families. 

Amanda was awarded an MBE in the 2021 New Years Honours for her services to Transport, particularly during Covid.  She is a Chartered Safety Practitioner, has a degree in Economics, a Masters in Security and Information Technology, and an LLM in Employment Law.

Ashley

Trustee

Ashley has extensive experience in the hospitality and tourism industries both in the UK and internationally.
He has mentored and advised small business owners as a Management Consultant over many years before retiring in 2012 and has an MBA from Cranfield. Ashley also obtained a BA in Hotel and Catering Management from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.
Ashley is a former Trustee of a large National charity, Action on Hearing Loss (Formerly RNID) and has  volunteered at the Cranfield Trust which gives free advice to small charities. He chairs the Governors at Ramsbury Primary School in Wiltshire, one of the top rural primary schools in the country. At home, Ashley grows his own vegetables so has great empathy with the activities of Green Corridor in education, horticulture and catering.

Nicole

Trustee

Nicole is an experienced senior executive, with extensive knowledge in delivering transformation, strategy, change, operations and service management, with over 20 years in the telecommunications industry, known for leadership, energy, commitment and results. She has worked at Virgin Media, Capita and currently at Talk Talk Telecom Group as Group Transformation Director.

 

Influential, motivational, enthusiastic and personal, with a track record of delivering transformation and driving results, whilst ensuring continued efficiencies are maintained.
