Catering & Hospitality

Pick, Cook and Serve

 

Our structured accredited study programmes in Hospitality and Catering are delivered in small focused groups in our purpose built kitchen classrooms. You will become more employable with us, alongside gaining either a Level 1 or Level 2 Award in Home Cooking Skills, you will build your confidence, communication skills and understanding of the working world.

We Offer:

BTEC Level 1 Award in Home Cooking Skills

BTEC Level 2 Award in Home Cooking Skills

Our qualifications are:

  • Nationally recognised courses

  • Hands on practical experience

This course is funded by the BIG Lottery fund.

Jowita

Jowita started Green Corridor last academic year on our Home Cooking skills course alongside preparing food for corporate groups and all the other learners.  Her attendance was over 90% which helped her achieve her Level 1 qualification in no time!  
Jowita is now part of our team working as a long-term volunteer! We are continuing to support her into sustainable volunteering or employment at another workplace.

Anita

While with Green Corridor Anita’s confidence grew exponentially, as did her cooking skills. She started the course wanting to learn about cooking to build her independence skills,but left with a passion for cooking. Alongside her Level 1 in Basic Cookery Skills, she completed a Level 1 Food and Safety course and often presented her creations to the corporate groups.

Anita now has a job working as a catering assistant in a local school.
