The Green Corridor Oscars 2026

Last Thursday, learners and staff came together for one of the most anticipated events in the Green Corridor calendar – our annual end-of-year party.

Our end-of-year celebration is much more than just a party. It's a chance to recognise every achievement, celebrate every milestone, reflect on how far our learners have come, and create lasting memories before the summer break. For some, it marks the end of their journey with us. For others, it's the close of another successful chapter before returning in September. Whatever the next step, this evening is all about celebrating our learners.

A Red Carpet Arrival

The evening began with learners making their way down the red carpet to cheers and applause from staff. It was impossible not to smile as they arrived with growing confidence, dressed up, full of excitement and ready for an unforgettable evening.

From the moment they stepped through the entrance, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, music and celebration. The DJ was ready, the photobooth was set up, the mocktail bar was fully stocked and the games were waiting to begin.

Fun, Food and Friendship

The Green quickly came alive with activities for everyone to enjoy. Learners challenged each other at Beat the Buzzer, inflatable basketball, Spin the Wheel, soft archery, giant Jenga, Connect Four and many more games, creating smiles and friendly competition throughout the evening.

Our mocktail bar proved a huge hit, with a variety of colourful drinks for learners to try while socialising with friends. Staff also served delicious hors d'oeuvres that had been specially requested by our learner class representatives, making the evening feel even more personal.

At 6pm, our talented catering team served a fantastic "fakeaway" meal, prepared by our amazing chef Sharon. It gave everyone the opportunity to sit together, catch up with friends and recharge before the celebrations continued.

Dancing the Night Away

As the evening moved into the marquee, the dance floor became the heart of the celebration. With song requests chosen by each class, the DJ kept everyone on their feet as learners and staff danced, laughed and enjoyed together.

The photobooth captured countless smiles, silly poses and friendships, giving everyone special keepsakes to remember the evening for years to come.

A Celebration of Every Journey

One of the most powerful moments of the evening was our annual awards ceremony.

This is always the emotional heart of the night.

Several learners bravely stood up to give speeches, sharing their personal journeys and reflecting on what Green Corridor has meant to them. Some spoke about overcoming challenges they never imagined they could face. Others thanked the friends they had made, the confidence they had gained, and the staff who had supported them every step of the way.

There wasn't a dry eye in the room.

These heartfelt moments reminded everyone exactly why Green Corridor exists. Every learner has their own story, their own challenges and their own achievements, and hearing those stories first-hand was incredibly moving.

Our CEO then presented a range of awards, including Progress Awards, Values Awards and other special recognitions, celebrating not only academic success but personal growth, resilience, kindness and determination.

More Than Just a Party

As the awards concluded, the celebrations continued with more dancing, laughter and one final opportunity to enjoy being together before the summer.

Each learner left with a gift bag containing keepsakes, keyrings, photographs and, most importantly, memories that will last a lifetime.

Our end-of-year celebration is about so much more than entertainment.

For our learners who are leaving Green Corridor, it offers the opportunity to say goodbye and celebrate everything they have achieved before taking their next exciting steps into adulthood.

For those returning in September, it provides a chance to pause, reflect on an incredible year of progress and look forward to new opportunities ahead.

For everyone, it is a chance to strengthen friendships, celebrate successes and recognise just how proud we all are of every learner.

Your courage, determination, kindness and resilience continue to inspire us every single day. Whether you're returning to Green Corridor in September or beginning an exciting new chapter beyond our gates, we couldn't be prouder of everything you've accomplished.

The Green Corridor Oscars 2026 may be over, but the memories, friendships and achievements celebrated that evening will stay with us for years to come.
